Look Who Loves Smiling Dog Films!

Words of praise from the mayor of Carmel and others whose dogs have been chronicled by our team.

"Maria and Craig aka Smiling Dog Films are real pros and a delight to work with. Of course, it helps that they are animal lovers! Filming on the streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea was a wonderful experience, particularly under Craig’s award winning direction. Maria kept the story line focused and her efforts are evident in the finished products: a 15 minute version and a pod cast for the City’s website. We were particularly impressed with their editing of several 'takes' of each episode into a cohesive finished product. Can't wait to do it again!"

"The creation of the "Day in the Life" of my American Eskimo Bella Pearl was great FUN! …(Craig and Maria) demonstrated the great cinematographic skills of chroniclers of circuses such as Fellini in adding Bella tricks, toys, still photos of her past and her own ballad. Notwithstanding knowing Maria and Craig's stellar reputations, I was delightedly impressed with the post-production editing, tight sound work, titles and credits, and overall quality."

"Access to Bella's DVD has been a lovely means to connect with friends and family all over the globe, and has drawn some interesting offers!  I expect it will someday be a great consolation to me.  I will cherish it all my life."

"Skates insisted that I write you as soon as the video ended... she loves it! And so do I. The video is terrific. You guys got some great video of Skates. I sat there with a smile on my face through the whole thing. And Skates spent the whole time admiring herself . The video is a terrific memento of my life with my pup. Thank you guys so much. It's -g-g-r-r-e-e-a-a-t-t (think Tony the Tiger)!"

Sally Stephens, Founder, SF DOG

"What a delightful experience!  Smiling Dog Films knows how to strike just the right tone in everything it does.  Craig's direction during the shoot was so adept and his demeanor so reassuring, I completely forgot my stage fright and had a fun time. And he was sensitive to my cats, which helped them relax, too. The editing, video quality, and story line in the final product are very professional; I'm completely happy with the result. They should call their business Smiling Dog and Cat."
